Joe F. Cross, son of Jim Cross and
Amanda Jones, was born on November 18, 1874 in Dayton, Georgia. He was married on November 3, 1895 to Mollie
Lowe in Grapevine, Texas. Joe’s family came by wagon to Texas from Georgia
and Alabama. They were farmers, had served in the Civil
War and were of Adventist faith. Joe F.
Cross died on August 7, 1964 and is buried at White’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mollie Lowe, daughter of Jim Lowe
and Columbia Garrett, was born on January 23, 1877 in Grapevine, Texas. She died on March
17, 1956 and is buried at White’s Chapel
Cemetery.
They had at least one child, Beulah
