William Bryan Blevins


 

William Bryan Blevins, born in Tarrant County, Texas on February 13, 1898, was the ninth child of Gaines Taylor Blevins and his wife, Mary Caroline Matilda (Bird). He was married at Joshua on June 7, 1918 to Minnie Stewart, born on May 16, 1900, the daughter of Charlie Stewart and his wife, Dora (Long). 


Soon after their marriage, William and Minnie Blevins moved from Keller to a farm near Vernon, Texas. Four of their five children were born there; William Daulton, Clifford Troy, Kenneth Vance and Doris. 

 William Bryan died in the fall of 1931 and was buried at Vernon. Early in 1932, his young widow and four children moved to Littlefield, where her fifth child, Bryan Allen was born on March 29, 1932. 

 Statistics and information on the children on William Bryan and Minnie Blevins: 
William Daulton, born June 30, 1919, was married to Pauline Farr. They reside in Lubbock, Texas. Their children are Danny, Darlene, Denise and Dale. 
Clifford Troy, born October 29, 1923, was married to Alva Sansom, born July 2, 1927, the daughter of Earl D. Sansom and his wife, Nora Marie. They live in Fort Worth and are the parents of four adopted children, Susan, Cindy, Troy Allen and Holly. 
Kenneth Vance, born September 15, 1926, was married to June Howard. They reside in San Francisco. Their children are Howard, Gail Elizabeth and Jeanine. 
Doris, born June 20, 1929, was married August 26, 1947 to Howard Aden Reynolds, born December 14, 1924, the son of Darrell Glen Reynolds and his wife Ina Mae (Plaster). They reside in Forth Worth. Their children are Linda Karen, born March 5, 1949 and Douglas Aden, born July 30, 1954.
